How many times can an alloy wheel be refurbished?
There is no fixed number for a standard painted or powder coated wheel, which can usually be refinished again if the metal underneath is sound. Diamond cut wheels are different, because each re-cut removes a thin layer of metal from the face, so repeat cuts are limited.
Why there is no set limit
A refurbishment strips the old finish and repairs the surface, so each one is a judgement on that wheel. A wheel in sound condition with a worn finish can usually be refinished again.

Quick answers
How often should alloy wheels be refurbished?
When the finish is damaged or failing. There is no set schedule, and a well-kept finish can last for years.
Can I refurbish wheels that have been painted before?
Usually, yes. We strip the old finish first. Send a photo and we will confirm.
How many times can a diamond cut wheel be re-cut?
It depends on how much metal is left on the face. Every re-cut removes some, so we check the wheel before promising another cut.
How long does a refurbishment take?
Standard refurbishments take 36 to 48 hours, and diamond cut repairs take 2 working days. Call or send a photo to book a time, and ask about free loan wheels, subject to stock.
