BMW Alloy Wheel Repair FAQs
The diamond cut face on my M Sport wheels is peeling or oxidising. Can you fix it?
This is one of the most common repairs we carry out on BMWs. M Sport spec puts diamond cut alloys on the vast majority of BMWs sold in the UK, and the clear lacquer that protects the machined face lifts over time, letting moisture in underneath. We strip the wheel back to bare metal, repair the face, powder coat prime, re-machine on the CNC lathe, and seal with fresh lacquer. Turnaround is two working days.
Do you work on all BMW models, including M spec?
Yes. We handle alloys from the full range: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 Series, the full X and Z ranges, and the M family including M2, M3, M4, M5, M8, and M Performance variants. If you have a specialist fitment, send us a photo first and we’ll confirm what’s involved before you book.
How long will my BMW be off the road?
Standard alloy refurbishment is back on the car in 36 to 48 hours. Diamond cut repair takes two working days. If you need loan wheels while the car is in, call ahead and we’ll check what we have for your fitment before you book.
Can you change the colour of my BMW alloys?
Yes. Full colour changes are done via powder coating, cured at 180°C. We can match the original factory colour or go in a new direction. Popular choices on BMWs include gloss black, anthracite, and satin finishes. We confirm the colour before anything goes on the wheel.
