A diamond cut wheel has its face machined on a lathe, which takes a thin layer of alloy off to leave bright metal with fine grooves. Clear lacquer goes over that metal to protect it, and when the lacquer is chipped or worn through, the face clouds and spots. Our diamond cut alloy wheel repair follows the way the wheel was made. After stripping and any barrel repair, the painted parts go back to their original colour, the face is re-cut on our CNC lathe and fresh lacquer seals it. The whole job takes 2 working days.
