What happens during the 2 working days

First the wheel is stripped, and any damage to the barrel is repaired so the inside of the rim is sound before colour goes back on. The painted sections are then refinished in the wheel's original colour, ready for machining. On our CNC lathe the face is re-cut to bright metal, the same way the wheel was finished when it was made. Clear lacquer goes over the fresh cut to seal the bare alloy, and every wheel gets a final check before it is returned to you.

Crown Road is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm and Saturday from 8am to 1pm, and closed on Sunday. You choose the drop-off time when you accept the quote.

Do I have to go without my wheels while they're refurbished?

We hold free loan wheels for many makes, subject to stock. Call 0207 060 3666 and we'll check whether there's a set to fit your car.

Can a diamond cut repair be done at my home or work?

No. The face is re-cut on our CNC lathe, so diamond cut wheels need the workshop at Crown Road.
