Why is anthracite powder coated and oven cured?

Anthracite relies on an even, flat charcoal tone, and any flaw in the surface underneath would show as a patch. Each wheel is stripped to bare metal first, so old coatings and corrosion cannot ripple through the new colour. Anthracite powder is then applied to the repaired metal and the wheel is cured at 180°C in our oven. The powder melts into a single layer that sets hard, which gives a consistent tone across the face, spokes and barrel.

What should I send for an anthracite quote?
A photo of each wheel, a shot of the side of the car and your reg or make and model are plenty. Add a paint code or daylight photo if you've seen an anthracite you want to copy.
How should I look after anthracite wheels?
Use a mild wheel cleaner and a soft brush, and rinse away brake dust before it bakes on. Because the colour is flat and even, a quick wipe-down brings it back to a clean charcoal.
