Keeping gold callipers looking fresh

Gold is a warm tone, and dark brake dust shows on it more readily than on a deeper colour. A wash with a gentle wheel cleaner and a soft brush lifts the film before it builds up. Rinse well afterwards so no cleaner dries on the paint. Through winter, wash road salt off the wheels and callipers when the roads are wet and gritted. Each time you clean the car, glance at the gold for chips or bare patches. A small mark is quicker to sort out when you spot it early.

Which wheel colours suit gold callipers?

Gold works with many wheel finishes. Send a photo of your wheels and we'll talk through the pairing.

Can I add gold callipers while my wheels are being refurbished?

Yes. Include both in the same set of photos and we price them together. The wheels and callipers are handled in one workshop.

Will my current calliper colour show through the gold?

Callipers are cleaned, treated and primed before the gold goes on. Tell us what colour they are now when you message us.
