What a repair changes

You keep your original wheels, and they are refinished to match the existing finish on the rest of the set. Each wheel is stripped to bare metal first, so the new finish bonds to clean alloy and corrosion is removed with the old finish. A new finish only holds if it bonds to clean metal. Paint or powder laid over an old finish sits on top of whatever is already there, so when the old layer lifts, the new one lifts with it and the peeling returns. Stripping takes off the old lacquer, paint and corrosion in one go and leaves bare alloy that the repair and the new finish can grip. Every wheel we refinish gets this treatment, whether it is one kerbed wheel or a full set.

Before you decide

Is a mobile repair as durable as a workshop refurbishment?

A mobile repair may not match the durability of an oven-finished workshop job, so it is best kept for light scuffs and kerb marks. Corrosion, cracks, buckles and diamond cut always need the workshop.

Can you change the colour while the wheel is being repaired?

Yes, in any colour from a paint code or photo. The wheel can be powder coated and cured at 180°C or painted, and the quote is based on the same photos.

Is it worth repairing a wheel before handing a lease car back?

Read your lease company's wear and tear guide first, then repair anything outside it before the inspection. Free loan wheels for many makes, subject to stock, keep you mobile while the work is done.
