Satin black alloy wheels

Satin black keeps its soft, low sheen only when the metal underneath is clean and sound. At Crown Road we strip your wheels to bare metal, repair them and refinish them in satin black. More than 1,400 customers have given us five stars on Trustpilot, and a photo of your wheels is enough for a quote.

Changing the look with satin black

Moving to satin black is a big visual step from silver, bronze or a tired factory finish. The sheen is low and soft, so the wheel reads as a clean dark shape. Coloured callipers show up well behind it, and we can paint those to match. If you've seen a satin black you like on another car, send a photo or the paint code and we'll match the shade. Your quote spells out what each wheel needs.

Ready when you are

Send photos of the wheels and the whole car, and we'll quote every stage.

How satin black looks once it's done

With brake dust

The low sheen means fingerprints and light dust are less obvious between washes.

Next to your paint

Light paint gives the wheels a crisp outline, and on dark paint they sit calmly alongside the bodywork.

Dropping off and paying

Send a photo of each wheel and we'll reply within 24 hours with a price and what the repair involves. Once you're happy, call or send a photo first to book a time, then drop the car at Crown Road and pay when the work is complete, by cash, card or bank transfer. Balancing is included, with no extra charge for tyre removal, balancing or storage at the workshop. Many makes can borrow free loan wheels, subject to stock, so call to check yours.

Questions about the satin black process

Will satin black suit my car?
Satin black has a low, soft sheen, so it sits quietly on light paint and calmly on dark. Send a photo of the whole car and your quote will say what each wheel needs.
Will I have a car to drive while my wheels are with you?
We hold free loan wheels for many makes, subject to stock. Ring us with your make and we'll tell you whether a set is free.
What does the price for satin black depend on?
It depends on how many wheels you want done, what repairs they need first and whether any are diamond cut. The alloy wheel refurbishment cost guide explains each factor, and a photo gets you a quote.
