What white callipers look like behind the wheel

A white calliper is bright and clean, and the gap between it and a black or dark grey wheel is easy to see. The effect is neat and deliberate, with none of the shout of a red or yellow. White also shows brake dust faster than a darker colour, because the grey film stands out against it. Callipers with white paint stay looking their best when the wheels get washed regularly.

Whites are harder to judge than they look. Some lean cool and bluish, others warm and creamy, and a pure white can look stark beside an off-white body colour. If you drive a white car, a calliper that is a touch softer than the bodywork often looks more considered. Send a paint code if you have one, or a daylight photo of the white you want to echo, such as the bodywork, a badge or trim. Photograph it outdoors, away from bright lamps, because artificial light changes how white appears. We will work from that reference.

White questions

Which wheel colours go with white callipers?

Gloss black, satin black and gunmetal wheels set white off best. Silver wheels make for a much softer pairing, where the calliper blends in more than it contrasts.

Can you match white to another part of the car?

Yes. A photo of the bodywork, badge or trim in daylight is enough to start, and a paint code makes it more exact. Tell us which part you are matching so we know what to aim for.

Can I have white callipers with diamond cut wheels?

Yes. The callipers are painted with the wheel off, after cleaning, with the discs, pads, hoses and surrounding parts masked off, and the white shows through the spokes next to the machined face of the wheel. If the wheels need work too, we can refinish them in the same workshop.
