Questions worth asking before you book

Is the wheel stripped to bare metal? Yes, the old finish comes off completely before anything new is applied.
Where is it cured, and at what temperature? In our on-site oven at 180°C.
Can repairs be done first? Yes, pits, scuffs and rim damage are repaired after the strip.

Powder arrives as a dry, fine colour that is applied to the bare metal and then baked. In the oven at 180°C it melts, flows into a smooth film and hardens into a bonded coat. The cure bonds the coating to the bare metal and leaves a hard-wearing finish. A colour change follows the same route. The old finish is stripped, the new shade is chosen from a code or photo, and the cured result has no trace of the previous colour.

When is a wheel better replaced than repaired?

Cracks in certain places or a severe buckle can make a wheel unsafe to repair. Your photo tells us, and we say so before you book.

Will the repair show afterwards?

Repairs are made before coating and the whole wheel is coated, so the finish reads as one colour.

What if I'm not happy with the finish?

You see the finished wheels before you pay, since payment is on completion. All our work carries a satisfaction guarantee, so mention anything at collection.
