Why a flaking finish keeps going

When a coating starts to lift, water works in under the loose edge and pushes it further off the metal, so a few chips turn into bare patches. Touching it up leaves the failing layer in place. A full strip and recoat removes it and starts again on clean alloy.

Kerb scuffs, pitting and rim damage are repaired after stripping, then the whole wheel is coated so the repair disappears under one finish. Yes, because the old finish comes off completely. Each wheel goes back to bare metal and any damage is repaired before the powder goes on.

What should the photo show?

Get the whole wheel in frame in good light, then add the colour or finish you'd like, plus your reg or make and model. Clearer photos mean a firmer price.
