Repair or replace alloy wheels?
Repair is usually the right answer for cosmetic damage and many bends, and replacement is the safer choice when the wheel is cracked through a structural area. A photo is enough for us to give you a view on which applies.
When repair makes sense
Kerb rash, peeling lacquer, corrosion on the surface and many bends can all be put right. A refurbishment keeps your original wheels, which also means the set still matches. See our alloy wheel refurbishment page for the process.

Quick answers
Is a repaired wheel as strong as a new one?
A properly repaired wheel is fit for the road, and we only repair wheels where that is the case. Straightening and welding restore the shape of the wheel, but a wheel with structural cracks should be replaced. We say so if we cannot repair yours safely.
Can I replace just one wheel?
Yes, but check that it matches the other three in design and finish. A refurbished original always matches.
How long does repair take?
A standard refurbishment takes 36 to 48 hours, and diamond cut repairs take 2 working days. Free loan wheels are available subject to stock, so call to check for your make.
How many times can a wheel be repaired?
It depends on the damage and what has been done before. Our guide on how many times a wheel can be refurbished explains the limits.
