What calliper painting involves

Callipers run hot, so paint only lasts if the surface underneath is clean and the paint is rated for the heat. We degrease each calliper, treat any surface rust, prime it and apply specialist high-temperature paint.

Calliper painting questions

Does painting callipers affect braking?

No. Only the outer body of the calliper is painted. Pads, pistons and contact surfaces are masked off throughout.

How long does calliper paint last?

Years, with good prep and regular cleaning. Brake dust slowly eats into the finish, so rinse it off whenever you wash the car.

Can you paint just one calliper?

We can, though one fresh calliper next to three faded ones usually stands out. Doing all four gives an even finish.

Do you powder coat callipers?
