How much does diamond cut alloy wheel repair cost?
The cost depends on how badly the wheel is damaged, so the only reliable figure is a quote based on a photo of your own wheel. We publish no price list for this repair, and a free photo quote from us arrives within 24 hours.
What sets the price
A diamond cut repair is more than a respray. The face has to be stripped, repaired where needed, re-cut on a lathe and sealed, so the amount of work on the wheel drives the cost. The number of wheels matters too, since a full set is more work than a single wheel. A set-wide quote is usually easier to plan than four separate jobs.
Why early repair costs less
Lacquer that has only just started to cloud is a lighter job than metal that has been pitted by corrosion for a winter or two. Each re-cut removes a thin layer of metal, so a wheel with deep damage also has less margin for future repairs. Our guide to how many times an alloy wheel can be refurbished covers that limit.

Is repair always the cheaper route?
Often, but not always. A wheel with severe corrosion, a deep crack or a lot of metal already removed may be better replaced, and we will say so when we see the photos. Our guide to repairing or replacing alloy wheels sets out how to weigh it up. Understanding what diamond cut wheels are also helps you read the photos before you send them.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to repair diamond cut alloy wheels?
It varies with the damage, the number of wheels and whether anything else needs fixing first. We do not list prices, because a photo tells us far more than a wheel size or a make. Send photos and we reply with a price within 24 hours.
Is diamond cut wheel refurbishment worth the money?
Usually, if the wheel is sound underneath. Repair keeps your original wheels and their finish, and it is often cheaper than replacing them. If corrosion or damage has gone too deep, we will tell you replacement makes more sense.
Why does diamond cut repair cost differently from a standard refurbishment?
It adds the lathe stage to the stripping and refinishing, and the cut face has to be sealed straight away. A standard refurbishment takes 36 to 48 hours, while diamond cut takes 2 working days.
Does the quote change once you see the wheel?
The photo quote lists what the repair involves. If we find something the photos could not show, such as a hidden crack, we tell you before any work starts.
Can I get the price for a full set?
Yes. Send photos of all four wheels and we quote the set in one reply.
